More Beaver Excuses

2012 Civil War

I have heard for the tenth time already that Oregon State lost the Civil War simply because of the turnovers.  Now I will admit that six TOs changed the magnitude, but not the direction this last Civil War game was going.  The Beavers had not let an opponent rush for over 200 yards against them this season, yet Oregon had over 200 yards at halftime.  They had no answer for Oregon’s running game and THAT was the key to the game, as we racked up the yards and points.  Without the turnovers?  Oregon wins but not with 48 points…probably something like 31-17, but the cast was set regardless of the turnovers.

They just don’t want to give Oregon any credit at all.  What are you hearing from Beaver fans?

interesting point. Just goes to show how there are two sides to every story. This is similar to the Oregon-LSU argument from last year. I hate when people blame loses on something other than just “we lost”.

I hate all excuses. When my fellow duck fans do it, and when other teams do it. Next time you hear a Beaver fan say we would have won the game if it hadn’t been for the turnovers look back at them sarcastically and say “yeah, your better than us at football except for that small part of the game where you keep control of the football.”
