Oregon vs UTEP Preview

The Oregon Ducks take on the UTEP Miners tonight in Don Haskins Center. This will be just the second time these two teams have faced each other, with Oregon holding a 1-0 lead.

Arsalan Kazemi

Much like Nebraska who held Oregon to just 60 points, UTEP likes to slow the game down and implement their half court game. Oregon will need to push the pace and keep the pressure on the Miners to remain successful.

If the Ducks can continue to dominate the rebound margin, this game shouldn’t be too hard. Oregon is now 10th in the nation in rebounding margin at +11.1. In contrast, UNLV ranks 345th in rebounds per game.  UTEP, like Oregon, likes to spread the scoring love with three players averaging double digit scoring. Julian Washburn 12.1, Konner Tucker 12.0, and John Bohannon 11.3 points per game.

Arsalan Kazemi and his 10.3 rebounds per game should be a big boost against a team struggling on the glass. The Ducks 77.5 points per game compared to the Miners 57.1 per game should also be a game changer.

You can tune into the game on CBS Sports Network at 5pm PST.
