How Strong Is Your Committment to Oregon Athletics?

C

Have you ever been to a University of Oregon volleyball game?¬† When was the last women’s basketball game you attended?¬† Acro/tumbling, anybody?¬† When I was an undergrad and a graduate student at the O I attended every single home football game…and one half of one basketball game.¬† When I think back on all those free tickets and good times I passed up to sit in my home in Springfield I cringe.¬† Have you ever been to an Oregon sporting event that wasn’t a great experience?¬† Me neither.

Ask a football fan what they love about home games and the answer is always the same.¬† The atmosphere, the experience, the camaraderie.¬† You know what creates those things?¬† You do.¬† The games are an opportunity that turn into an experience based on who shows up and how raucous they get.¬† Wouldn’t it be fun to support the other Oregon sports teams and create more wonderful memories for fans and the folks on the playing surface?¬† Go get some friends together, get some tickets, and get rowdy at the next women’s basketball game, Sunday at noon.
