The Oregon Ducks take on the UCLA Bruins today in Pauley Pavilion. This game has major implications for both teams as they are both undefeated in PAC-12 play and ranked in the nation’s top 25. This marks the 103rd meeting between the teams with UCLA holding the lead on the Ducks 81-31.
The stat of the day for today’s game is going to be who wins the turnover battle. Oregon scores on 26% of there points off turnovers forced this season, the highest percentage in the PAC-12. On the other hand, the Bruins only turn the ball over on 16% of their possessions, the fewest in the PAC-12. Whoever wins the turnover battle will win the game.
Another big stat that will play into the game will be who wins the battle on the boards. Oregon ranks 27th in the nation and 7th in rebound margin per game compared to UCLA’s 47th in the nation.
Whoever wins this game will continue to lead the PAC-12 conference and maintain their top 25 ranking nationally. The loser will most likely drop out of the top 25, so this game will be huge for both team.
To watch the game tune into CBS at 1pm PST.
