The Ducks will be sending five players to the NFL combine in hopes of realizing their childhood dream – playing football professionally.
Lamichael James, who was drafted last year by the San Francisco 49ers, made big plays late in the season to key victories.
Players invited are:
- Kenjon Barner, RB
- John Boyett, S
- Dion Jordan, DL
- Kyle Long, OL
- Kiko Alonso, LB
All five of these players have a great shot at getting drafted, or at least getting signed as a free agent. ESPN’s mock draft has Dion Jordan going 9th overall which is very telling of his ability. It will be interesting to see where players like Kenjon Barner and John Boyett land. Boyett was hurt for most of the season but has skill and potential to play every Sunday. As for Barner, his role might change as a running back he does not have the build as an every down back. Regardless, the more Ducks in the NFL, the better. Let’s hope we get to see all five of these and even maybe some others in the league soon.
