The Oregon Ducks took it to the Oklahoma State Cowboys today, 68-55, to advance to the next round of the NCAA tournament. The Ducks proved that their 12 seed was way too low.
Oregon dominated on the boards, winning the rebound battle 44-30. Damyean Dotson led all Oregon scorers with 17 points. Three other Ducks scored in double digits with Dominic Artis putting up 13, Carlos Emory with 12, and Arsalan Kazemi scoring 11 points and ripping down a ridiculous 17 boards.
Many experts didn’t expect Oregon to get the win against the Cowboys but they shut the naysayers up. It was a solid team effort with Oregon holding three of the Cowboys’ players to zero points and forcing 22 fouls.
Oregon will now take on St. Louis on the 23rd.
