Mike Moser, a former Grant High School standout, is looking to transfer after a disappointing year at UNLV marred with injuries. Recently he has narrowed his list down to Oregon, Gonzaga and Washington, who is the front-runner as of now. Reports are, however, that Oregon “has closed the gap” according to basketball writer and analyst Jeff Goodman.
Moser has been bouncing around ever since he reached the college ranks going from UCLA to UNLV and now looking for his third and hopefully last destination for his final year of eligibility. The 6-8 forward averaged 14 points per game and 10.5 rebounds for the Running Rebel his sophomore year but was limited in play his junior year due to an injury to his hip.If the Ducks somehow snag this Oregon product, Altman’s roster will inherit a big boost in its front court. With his pedigree and experience Moser would provide the Ducks with an inside presence easing the loss of big body bangers Arsalan Kazemi and Tony Woods. With that in mind, let’s hope that the former Oregon prep standout comes back to his home state to help the Ducks make another tournament push.
