Oregon Duck defensive end Dion Jordan has always shown immense potential and he is peaking at just the right moment as we inch closer to the 2013 NFL Draft.
Jordan suffered a shoulder injury against the Colorado Buffalos in 2012. The injury caused him to miss two games completely and limited his playing time for the rest of the season. Despite the shoulder issues, Dion Jordan brings many things to the table and it has led him to be the number 1 overall rank in his position.
Jordan is a rare combination of size, speed, and quickness: 6′ 6″, 248 pounds, and he runs a 4.6 40-yard dash. His fluidity and range in coverage are rare for a defensive end or linebacker prospect with his length, which makes him one of the most versatile players in the draft this year.
The former Duck is projected to be one of the top 10 players selected and it doesn’t surprise me. Todd McShay even has projected Jordan to be the second overall pick in the draft. With his work ethic and potential, Jordan has the chance to make an immediate impact in the NFL.
