Recruiting Update: Smooth Sailing on the Horizon
Vaunted tailback Royce Freeman (4-Star/Imperial, CA) recently indicated that the Ducks have garnered his increased attention. “Oregon is a well-established program with a high powered offense,” said Freeman. “I really like coach (Gary) Campbell. I feel like he gives you every opportunity to earn playing time.”
Currently holding an Oregon offer, Freeman will journey to Eugene in June for what is believed to be his only known D1 campus visit. Coupled with a tremendous work ethic both on and off the field, Freeman’s six-foot, 210 lb. frame would only add to the riches of a stacked Oregon backfield. Stay tuned!
“My interest in Oregon is very high. I’ve been watching them for the past few years and they have a very explosive offense,” said Rudolph. “I’ve been seeing what they’ve been doing and how they produce players, so that’s what I really like about them.”
At 6-foot-1, 185 lbs., Rudolph has the uncanny ability to find seams to the end zone on both sides of the ball and could easily wind up as a tabbed athlete during the later stages of his recruitment.
“I talked to coach (John) Neal. He’s a real cool guy and I love the fact (that) he never bad mouths another school,” said Neal. “He just wanted to let me know I’m still one of his top two guys. Oregon is going to stay in it until the end.”
While the Ducks will have to do battle with southwest teams for McGraw’s services, expect that his overwhelmingly positive experience in and around Autzen Stadium to go a long way in his decision making.
