This week, three familiar Ducks from the Chip Kelly era resurfaced in the NFL.  Will Murphy rejoined the Eagles, and LaMichael James was active for San Francisco for the first time since suffering a knee injury in preseason play.

Two Ducks were released from practice squads, former DT-turned-OL, Isaac Remington from the Eaglesand WR Rashaan Vaughn from the New York Jets.

Murphy was waived by Chip’s Eagles (along with QB Dennis Dixon) on the final day of cuts, but the Eagles have now had a change of heart, and resigned Murphy.  How much he will contribute on game days is uncertain, but the call back to Philly says a lot about the skills of the former Duck receiver and native Oregonian.  The Eagles face a huge test Sunday against perhaps the most impressive NFL team so far, the Denver Broncos, led by Peyton Manning.

Last night James got in on the action for the first time in the regular season, as the Niners routed the St. Louis Rams, 35-11.  LMJ ended up with a net of zero yards on three carries, but it was good to see him back on the field.

Let’s take a look at how the other NFL Ducks fared last week.
