The All-American was named the Washington state Player of the Year by The Seattle Times, The News Tribune and the Associated Press.

The 5-foot-8, 177-pound Baker also plays running back and returns kicks.   He has expressed interest in playing on both sides of the ball at the collegiate level and has been compared to Oregon athlete De’Anthony Thomas for his athleticism and playmaking abilities.

With the departure of Oregon safeties Brian Jackson and Avery Patterson, Baker would fill in nicely if indeed Mark Helfrich and Nick Aliotti choose to play him on defense.
