LYLELOI - WTD!!!

Jaquan Lyle (5-Star/Huntington, WV/Rivals150) posted his LOI on Instagram.

Sometimes no matter how committed an athlete is, the apprehension surrounding the recruitment only subsides when a fresh letter of intent slowly emerges from the fax machine.

Oregon head coach Dana Altman netted top guard Jaquan Lyle (5-Star/Huntington, WV/Rivals150) last month but locked up the touted shooter for good when Lyle released a photo of his signed letter of intent to suit up for the Ducks.

Lyle, a 6-foot-5, 215 lb. scorer, will battle for early playing time and even the title of ‘starter’ thanks to impressive shooting and playmaking ability when given the ball in the fray.

On the flip side, Lyle is no stranger to facilitating and getting his teammates involved, a key component to Altman’s on-court mantra.  Lyle’s addition elevates Oregon’s backcourt to easily one of, if not the top unit in the nation, WTD!

News

Offensive linemen Kieffer Longson (3-Star/San Ramon, CA) and Dru Samia (NR/Danville, CA) were both in Eugene over the weekend to check out the latest edition of Oregon football.  Offensive line coach Steve Greatwood treated the recruits to a tour and the dealings of Duck spring ball, seeking encouraging feedback from both trench behemoths.

Longson (6-foot-7, 295 lbs.) and Samia (6-foot-4, 275 lbs.) could both fit into Greatwood’s schemes and could both wind up Ducks when all is said and done.  Stay tuned!

New 2024 FishDuck Publishing Schedule….

During the off-season the FishDuck.com publishing schedule will consist of articles on Mondays and Tuesdays. Do keep checking as new articles could be published during the week when a writer has something to say.

In mid-August of 2024, we will go back to the seven-days-a-week of articles during the football season as we did in the football season of 2023.

The Our Beloved Ducks Forum (OBD) is where we we discuss the article above and many more topics, as it is so much easier in a message board format over there.  At the free OBD forum we will be posting Oregon Sports article links, the daily Press Releases from the Athletic Department and the news coming out every day.

Our 33 rules at the free OBD Forum can be summarized to this: 1) be polite and respectful, 2) do not tell anyone what to think, feel or write, and 3) no reference of any kind to politics. Easy-peasy!

OBD Forum members….we got your back.  No Trolls Allowed!
