Shaun Chase shows off power in Oregon baseball’s 6-1 win over Arizona

Oregon catcher Shaun Chase hit two home runs and a long double against Arizona as the Ducks (32-3, 11-8 Pac-12) prevailed 6-1 over the Wildcats (18-26, 7-15) Friday night at PK Park.

Chase also drove in three runs and score three times. He now leads the Pac-12 with seven home runs on the season. This is also the first time an Oregon player has hit at least two home runs in a game since Ryon Healy blasted two against Stanford on April 27, 2013.

Shortstop Mark Karaviotis went 2-for-4 with two RBIs.

Oregon starting pitcher Tommy Thorpe pitched 7.2 innings, allowing five hits, two walks and one run (earned) while striking out five.
