NFL-bound Bralon Addison – Human Highlight Film Gone but Not Forgotten

Sarah Greenlaw Sports News

With the 2016 NFL Draft quickly approaching, it’s time to acknowledge a phenomenal player who has done so much for the Ducks and who will undoubtedly make Oregon proud as a professional player: Bralon Addison.

Originally a quarterback from Missouri City, Texas, Addison was used as a wide receiver after joining the Oregon Football family in 2012. Addison immediately proved that he was collegiate material with an honorable mention Pac-12  all-Conference pick his sophomore year. Unfortunately, he suffered an ACL injury in 2014 during spring practices, and was unable to play his junior year.

He rejoined the field as a redshirt junior the following season. Addison certainly did not let his injury slow him down! The 2015 season was filled with announcers enthusiastically proclaiming “Addison in the end zone! Touchdown Ducks!” Play after play, Addison proved to be a versatile athlete destined to make his mark in Oregon football history.

The 5-foot-9, 197 lb. wide receiver declared for the 2016 NFL Draft in January, foregoing his final season of eligibility with the Ducks. In his declaration statement, Addison had a message for the University of Oregon, stating “I just wanted nothing more than to thank everyone that has been a positive influence in my life academically and athletically during my time here at Oregon.”  If you are a betting man you might want to take a look at early NFL betting lines, Addison is going to make a difference in the NFL.

He ends his career with Oregon with 3 career punt-return touchdowns, and his 20 career touchdown catches emphasize his agility and speed, an asset which will serve him well in the NFL. Addison was particularly instrumental in Oregon’s wins over USC and Oregon State, with more than 100 receiving yards in each game.

Addison is joined in the NFL draft by other top-notch Oregon players such as DeForest Buckner, Vernon Adams Jr., Byron Marshall and others.

Bralon Addison will be missed but will certainly make Oregon proud when he begins his career in the NFL.

Go Ducks!

New 2024 FishDuck Publishing Schedule….

During the off-season the FishDuck.com publishing schedule will consist of articles on Mondays and Tuesdays. Do keep checking as new articles could be published during the week when a writer has something to say.

In mid-August of 2024, we will go back to the seven-days-a-week of articles during the football season as we did in the football season of 2023.

The Our Beloved Ducks Forum (OBD) is where we we discuss the article above and many more topics, as it is so much easier in a message board format over there.  At the free OBD forum we will be posting Oregon Sports article links, the daily Press Releases from the Athletic Department and the news coming out every day.

Our 33 rules at the free OBD Forum can be summarized to this: 1) be polite and respectful, 2) do not tell anyone what to think, feel or write, and 3) no reference of any kind to politics. Easy-peasy!

OBD Forum members….we got your back.  No Trolls Allowed!
