RawTeams.com and Le Flav Spirits partners with notable Oregon alums for Post Game Rose Bowl Event

RawTeams.com, a social networking website that is aimed at connecting athletes, coaches, cheerleaders and fans has again teamed up with notable Oregon alumns Patrick Johnson, Akili Smith and Reuben Droughns for the Official Oregon post game event at Club Menage in Pasadena, California on Monday, January 2, 2012. Also in attendance will be former Oregon Cheerleader, actress, singer, writer, and former Laker Girl Sandra Colton. The event will be held from 5:00PM until 1:30 AM.
Co-Founder Ray Cheetany: “RawTeams and former Ducks and long-time friends Patrick and Daniel Johnson teamed up to throw the RawTeams-Oregon BCS Pre-Game Party at the Firehouse in Scottsdale last year, and it far exceeded all of our expectations. We had over 4,000 fans join us for the all-day event. It was a total blast. Even the Oregon Marching Band showed up and played the fight song.”
Partner and Former Oregon Legend Patrick Johnson: “For myself personally, I take a lot of pride in RawTeams and what we have been able to accomplish with this site from inception up to this point. But first and formost, my relationship with Ray and Nader Cheetany has been a very strong one since I purchased my first home in Las Vegas in 1999. They are like family to me. Secondly, this project has given me the platform to utilize all of the tools taught to me at the School of Journalism and Communications at the University of Oregon. And last but certainly not least, I bleed Green and Yellow. Our fans, tradition and all of my memories as a student-athlete is something that I will always cherish and highly covet.”

We have followed the careers of these guys since high school and are honored to be able to celebrate with them the success of the Oregon football program.”

At the time of this release over 100 former Oregon lettermen from early as the class of 1977 have Rsvp’d for this event. “This is going to be a great networking opportunity for our Alumni,” said Patrick Johnson.
Doors will open at 5:00 PM and remain open until 1:30 AM and admission is ten dollars ($10).

About Ray Cheetany
Ray Cheetany (born December 22, 1977 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa) is a former American football Punter/Kicker and a Internet entrepreneur. He is best known for creating the sports social networking site called RawTeams.com. He started RawTeams.com in 2010.
Following being named 2nd Team All State Kicker at Linn-Mar High School in Marion, Iowa. Cheetany took his talents to Junior College sports powerhouse Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, Iowa. The same Junior College that produced Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Stars Jon Jones and Cain Velasquez. Cheetany became a 1st Team All American NJCAA kicker at Iowa Central Community College, Cheetany moved on to the UNLV Rebels where he played for NFL and NCAA Hall of Fame Coach John Robinson (American football coach). After red-shirting during the 1998 season, Cheetany assumed the punting and kickoff duties for the Rebels and became UNLV’s Special Teams Player of the Year in both 1999 and 2000. He was tabbed one of the nation’s top 10 special teams players by Sports Illustrated as a junior. Cheetany was named 1st Team All-American Punter by Street & Smith’s Magazine and Playboy Magazine. He was also recognized as the highest graded player at his position by National Football Scouting Inc. The 2000 UNLV Rebels finished 8-5 with a win over the Arkansas Razorbacks in the Las Vegas Bowl. After his senior year Cheetany signed a contact with the Tennessee Titans. Cheetany was recently part of the 2011 Iowa Central Community College Athletic Hall Of Fame.
About Patrick Johnson
Mr. Johnson majored in Journalism and Communications at the University of Oregon from 1994 to 1997, and attended the Craig James Broadcast School in 2000. Mr. Johnson was a two-sport athlete at the University of Oregon, excelling in both football and track, and winning numerous awards and championships during his collegiate athletic career. As an Olympic-caliber sprinter, Johnson won the Pac-10 Championships in the 400 meter and defeated the legendary Carl Lewis in a 100-meter race at the Drake Relays in 1995. As a wide receiver in his senior year at Oregon, he was awarded multiple All-America awards and was the Offensive MVP of the 1997 Las Vegas Bowl. Johnson was also a member of Oregons’ 1994 Rose and 1995 Cotton Bowl teams, respectively. Johnson was the 42nd overall pick by the Baltimore Ravens in the 1998 NFL draft. While playing with the Ravens, Johnson earned a Super Bowl ring when the Ravens defeated the New York Giants 34-17 in Super Bowl XXXV. Besides the Ravens, Mr. Johnson played for the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Washington Redskins and the Canadian Football League’s Edmonton Eskimos and Toronto Argonauts. During his career as a professional athlete, Mr. Johnson assisted several charities and non-profit organizations in fundraising efforts. In 2003, Mr. Johnson interned with GOPAC, a political action committee designed to train candidates for grassroots-level campaigning. He has accepted several keynote speaking engagements and is a published writer, having co-authored an article for Worth Magazine. Mr. Johnson possesses a keen interest in business development and has a wide variety of business experience. About Sandra Colton
Sandra Colton is a member of SAG, AFTRA, ASCAP and The Recording Academy. As an elected member, Sandra served on the Los Angeles Board of Directors for AFTRA and was appointed to the SAG Dancers’ Committee. Along with the 2nd edition release of BOOK ME!, Sandra is also the publisher of Dance Track® Magazine and creator of the annual Artist Awards. Sandra launched Original Girl® Magazine in September of 2008. Graduating with honors from the University of Oregon, Sandra earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Communication Studies. Receiving departmental honors for her completion of the Honors Thesis Program during her senior year, Sandra’s thesis entitled, Biracial Identity Development, tackled the hard questions persons of biracial decent face when trying to decipher how they will racially identify themselves. About Akili Smith
Kabisa Akili Maradufu Smith (born August 21, 1975 in San Diego, California) is a former professional American and Canadian football quarterback. He was selected in the first round (3rd overall) of the 1999 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals, the third quarterback in the first three choices, behind Tim Couch (Cleveland Browns), and Donovan McNabb (Philadelphia Eagles). Smith played college football at the University of Oregon. In his career, Smith has also played for the Green Bay Packers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Frankfurt Galaxy, and Calgary Stampeders. He is currently the Offensive Coordinator-Quarterbacks Coach at Lincoln High School in San Diego, California.
About Reuben Droughns
Reuben Droughns (born August 21, 1978 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American football running back who is currently the head coach for the Serbian team Vukovi Beograd, the two-time champions of the Central European Football League. Droughns was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the third round of the 2000 NFL Draft, and played college football at The University of Oregon. Droughns has also been a member of the Miami Dolphins, Denver Broncos, Cleveland Browns and New York Giants of the National Football League. He earned a Super Bowl ring with the Giants in Super Bowl XLII.
