Recruiting Update: De’Jon Bringing the Mustard

Mark Flores Recruiting

News

Amid my frustration and disbelief of what befell our beloved Ducks this past Saturday was my almost immediate gaze to the future, both in the figurative and literal senses. I sat in Section 9 on the sunny side of Auzten, mere rows above the cordoned off “VIP” area that seats Oregon’s visitors. By the third quarter, I found myself thinking “I hope Helfrich & Co. played a good weekend as a whole.”

It appears they did.

Even though Oregon lost, it didn’t bother me,” said De’jon Harris (3-Star/Marrero, La.). “I really wanted to see the atmosphere and how the coaches interact with the players. We sat down with the players and the coaches in meetings today.

“They were showing me the depth chart at linebacker and it’s wide open. It’s full of juniors and seniors. There’s a great chance to come in and compete right away … [My mom said she] really liked how Oregon has it all set up for you. She was pretty impressed.”

The 5-foot-11, 235 pound Harris is currently committed to 1-4 Arkansas but may wind up on the west coast with the turmoil surrounding the Razorbacks.

“Once I take that (Arkansas) visit I can compare the two and make my final decision after that. I’m still solid to Arkansas but I’m definitely thinking about Oregon too.”

Check back next week for reactions from several other recruits in attendance last Saturday, WTD!

New 2024 FishDuck Publishing Schedule….

During the off-season the FishDuck.com publishing schedule will consist of articles on Mondays and Tuesdays. Do keep checking as new articles could be published during the week when a writer has something to say.

In mid-August of 2024, we will go back to the seven-days-a-week of articles during the football season as we did in the football season of 2023.

The Our Beloved Ducks Forum (OBD) is where we we discuss the article above and many more topics, as it is so much easier in a message board format over there.  At the free OBD forum we will be posting Oregon Sports article links, the daily Press Releases from the Athletic Department and the news coming out every day.

Our 33 rules at the free OBD Forum can be summarized to this: 1) be polite and respectful, 2) do not tell anyone what to think, feel or write, and 3) no reference of any kind to politics. Easy-peasy!

OBD Forum members….we got your back.  No Trolls Allowed!
