The Fish Report: Rose Bowl Game Plan #1

In this video we’re going to have some fun looking back at some plays and formations to try to figure out what Chip Kelly might throw at Wisconsin.  We’ll look at game footage and determine a “FishDuck Probability” of seeing that play, formation, or strategy in the Rose Bowl Game Plan.

“Oh how we love to learn about our beloved Ducks!”

  1. Charles, thank you for this brilliant analysis. The video doesn’t lie. We left points on the field. The lanes were there.

Very, very insightful and informative. Wonderful experience watching that video. It’s the first time I’ve been able to view plays from the Natty, but it was helpful to me to learn that Chip did have a good gameplan. I wish we had executed better. Hoping that we can learn from that experience. I really, really hope Chip and the players got the same input from either their own viewing or perhaps watching your video at this site.

Christopher–thanks very much.  I don’t get the “B” word very often.  (Usually it’s in sarcasm)  I wrote about this last year, but this time to show it in video–becomes much more apparent.

gamedaytribe–I am very confident that they have gone into every detail of the NC game much more than I can offer.  I felt that the Rose Bowl two years ago was a learning experience for Chip, while the NC game was more about the players learning poise on the big stage.

That’s why I feel better about Darron early in this game; been there, done that, will be his approach.  If he starts out well, then look out!

I cannot even imagine the buzz, the buildup, the excitement for next year if we win this game.  The local sportwriter who felt that we fans were poo-pooing the Rose Bowl has rocks in the head at times.  We want to win this BAD.
