Week two will bring Fresno State, and their high powered offense led by Derek Carr to Autzen Stadium. Oregon will need to keep up the tempo on Saturday, as the Bulldogs are planning to run the Ducks out of the stadium as opposed to the standard Duck domination in Eugene.
After 15 years with Pat Hill as head coach running a power-I and pro set attack built around being more physical than their opponent, Fresno State has hit the reset button, hiring Tim DeRuyter as head coach, who previously had coached with Texas A&M, Air Force, Nevada, Ohio, and Navy.
DeRuyter has scrapped the systems utilized under the previous regime, openly embracing a very Oregon-esque attack built on high-tempo no-huddle spread attack. Fresno is trying to pattern their program after Oregon, and to beat the Ducks they will have to do so at Oregon’s own game.
With less material available on this brand new coaching staff and their system, this video is slightly shorter than others, but will still give you a brief look at the Bulldogs before they come to Autzen Stadium.
