(#22) RB Johnathan Hilliman (NR/Jersey City, NJ)

Oregon’s backfield draw continues to illuminate marquee preps. One such senior-to-be, tailback Jonathan Hilliman (NR/Jersey City, NJ) claims an Oregon offer this past season and enters 2014 as one of the nation’s elite runners. “I have to get out there see what Oregon has to offer,” said Hilliman. “I’m pretty interested in them… seeing the success they’ve had bringing out great offensive players and bringing out great rushing attacks.” The 6’1″, 210 lb. long striding bruiser is a home run threat every time he touches the ball and brings that same tenacity to defense where he lines up as drop-end/defensive back.

Another promising runner, Demario Richard (NR/Palmdale, CA), makes no secrets about his desire to hear from Oregon. “I love the Ducks offense. The biggest thing about Oregon is their consistency and the level of speed they play at,” said Richard. “I’ll be heading up to Oregon’s camp in June.”

First heard from during his stellar junior season, quarterback Manny Wilkins (NR/San Marin, CA) continues to maintain that “Oregon has always been that school for me.” The 6’3″, 185 lb., Wilkins hasn’t fully developed his mobility but makes up for his lack of running with extended plays and incredibly accurate throws. “ I’ve been talking with coach Frost a few times per week for a while now,” said Wilkins. “I know most of the coaches up there so it was a really easy transition for me.” Wilkins will be on hand to take in the Oregon spring game and will showcase his throwing motion inside Autzen Stadium during the Duck’s spring camp, so stay tuned!

New 2024 FishDuck Publishing Schedule….

During the off-season the FishDuck.com publishing schedule will consist of articles on Mondays and Tuesdays. Do keep checking as new articles could be published during the week when a writer has something to say.

In mid-August of 2024, we will go back to the seven-days-a-week of articles during the football season as we did in the football season of 2023.

The Our Beloved Ducks Forum (OBD) is where we we discuss the article above and many more topics, as it is so much easier in a message board format over there.  At the free OBD forum we will be posting Oregon Sports article links, the daily Press Releases from the Athletic Department and the news coming out every day.

Our 33 rules at the free OBD Forum can be summarized to this: 1) be polite and respectful, 2) do not tell anyone what to think, feel or write, and 3) no reference of any kind to politics. Easy-peasy!

OBD Forum members….we got your back.  No Trolls Allowed!
