S Mattrell McGraw (NR/River Ridge, LA)

Visits

With anticipation for Oregon’s annual spring game reaching a fevered pitch, safety Mattrell McGraw (3-Star/River Ridge, LA) quietly made his way into Eugene this past week.  “It was beautiful, it was more than I could have thought of,” said McGraw.  “I can’t even describe how at home I felt with this whole visit… I felt like I was on the team already with everyone knowing me.”  A 6’0”, 183 lb. defender with speed to burn, McGraw is the quintessential prep that garners Oregon attention.  “I spent a lot of time talking to coach (John) Neal… He told me I have a spot… and where I’m at on his board.”  The Ducks appear to lead McGraw’s recruitment and a second visit will likely seal the deal later this year, so stay tuned!

News

Oregon’s molding of Dion Jordan into one of the nation’s premier drop ends is paying off on the recruiting trail.  Top-ranked defensive end Lorenzo Carter (5-Star/Norcross, GA/Rivals #1 DE) is drawing early attention as a Jordanesque type prep, and recently made known his thoughts about Lightning Yellow and Thunder Green.  “I’m very interested in (Oregon),” said Carter.  “Coach (Nick) Aliotti called me and told me I had an offer and that he was interested in me.”  Carter, who stands 6’5”, 226 lbs., fits Oregon’s relentless style of defense and could be a household name should he sign come letter of intent day.

For the Exciting 2024 Football Season….

We will be publishing between four and six articles per week during the football season, as we skip Saturdays with all the distraction of GameDay for us. Check through the week, and in particular check for Analysis articles on most Fridays.

The Our Beloved Ducks Forum (OBD) is where we we discuss the article above and many more topics, as it is so much easier in a message board format over there.  At the free OBD forum we will be posting Oregon Sports article links, the daily Press Releases from the Athletic Department and the news coming out every day.

Our 33 rules at the free OBD Forum can be summarized to this: 1) be polite and respectful, 2) do not tell anyone what to think, feel or write, and 3) no reference of any kind to politics. Easy-peasy!

OBD Forum members….we got your back.  No Trolls Allowed!
