It is a great year to be a Ducks fan, am I right? Especially for the fans that have been dedicated through the harder times. I cannot even begin to describe how proud I am of our men not only from tonight but from this season all together.
Here is a short recap of this years season for our Ducks:
Game 1: The opponent was South Dakota at Autzen stadium and were ranked No. 3. Final score: 62-13, Ducks.
Game 2: The opponent was Michigan State who was ranked No. 7 at the time. We came out roaring and ended the game with a final score of 46-27, Ducks.
Game 3: The opponent was Wyoming and were ranked No. 2. Final score: 48-14, Ducks.
Game 4: The opponent was the University of Arizona and were ranked No. 2. In a heart-wrenching game, the final score was 31-24, Arizona.
Game 5: The opponent was UCLA and were ranked No. 12 (as a result of the previous weeks loss to Arizona). Final score: 42-30
Game 6: The opponent was Washington and were ranked No. 9. Final score: 45-20 (Kenny Wheaton’s “The Pick” anniversary game).
Game 7: The opponent was Cal and were ranked No. 6. Final score: 59-41, Ducks.
Game 8: The opponent was Stanford (whom we had been unable to defeat in the previous two seasons) and were ranked No. 5. Final score: 45-16, Ducks.
Game 9: The opponent was Utah and we were ranked No. 5. Final score: 51-27
Game 10: The opponent was Colorado and we were ranked No. 3. Final score: 44-10
Game 11: The opponent was Oregon State and we were ranked No. 3. Final score: 47-19
Tonight brought the regular season to an end but there is still plenty of football to be played! Next Friday night our Ducks will face Arizona for the Pac-12 Championship and for their opportunity at a National Title. I am so nervous and anxious for this game, however I have an immense amount of faith in our men coming out to that game with a completely different mindset and outlook than the last two times we faced them.
Return to FishDuck.com throughout the week for exclusive interviews and updates on this weeks preparations, injured player updates and player thoughts on this season and their upcoming game! This Arizona-Oregon game is going to be one to remember.
