Football Recruiting
News
Oregon’s Hawaiian connection might be one of the strongest out-of-state pipelines in college football. So strong in fact that the heralded “Mariota 2.0” is already almost a lock to end up in Lighting Yellow and Thunder Green.
We, The Duck Faithful, have already begun to feel the trans-Pacific rumblings surrounding to-be junior quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (4-Star/Honolulu, HI). If the connection to Marcus Mariota isn’t already strong enough, the 6-foot-1, 180 lb. dual-threat has the attention of offensive coordinator Scott Frost and is being linked to an early commitment to the Oregon program.
“Scott Frost is a great guy,” said Tagovailoa. “We’ve talked about my interest in Oregon and their offense fits me perfectly.”
Oregon’s brass will do its due diligence and undoubtedly offer the newest Flyin’ Hawaiian before his junior year comes to a conclusion, stay tuned! Oh, and one more thing… Tagovailoa is a lefty! WTD!
