Miami @ Florida State: 5:00 p.m. Saturday – ABC: This game is compelling for Oregon (otherwise known as Florida State fans’ new least-favorite team) but that’s not the only reason to watch. Miami is the absolute worst undefeated team in the history of . . . everything! The Hurricanes are undefeated like France is undefeated in world wars. They are undefeated like Arnold Ziffel is undefeated in Words With Friends! Miami is undefeated like I am undefeated in the Mr. Universe contest.

Arizona State @ Washington State: 7:30 p.m. Thursday – ESPN: This is the first time that Mike Leach’s Cougars have taken the field since he left his starters in to turn an embarrassing rout into a slightly less embarrassing rout by the Ducks two weeks ago. In light of the shellacking that his team is going to absorb from the Sun Devils, Leach has his team on the field right now with the scoreboard running. You have to give it up to Washington State fans, though. Aware that they are about to be smoked, Cougar faithful have decided to wear some rather clever gear to the game.

USC @ Oregon State: Friday sometime, who cares? It takes a pretty hardy football fan to spend his Friday night watching the dismal Beavers but there may be some of you who decide to do so. May God have mercy on your soul. In a game pitting the faded red clad disappointments against the Halloween-color clad underachievers look for Sean Mannion to throw a lot of passes, drunken ex-cheerleaders to throw paint and that one self-respecting Beaver fan that you know, to throw up. USC will also be there because the schedule says they have to be. Post game highlights(?) can be seen on the Food Network at 3:12 a.m.
