Here at FishDuck, we’ve been tough-but-fair with our team. This season has been a “mystery” in many instances with the ups and downs of a youthful team, which couldn’t fit in more perfectly with a season than Halloween. The underlying question of that mystery is guaging how much of the young talent we have that’s been realized already, and how much is still left in the rest of 2021’s preparation and training.
With a few games left, there’s plenty of time for that question to be answered, as well as if a College Football Playoff appearance is realistic under Mario Cristobal’s current team identity. For now, let’s set aside how we feel about our Duck’s playing down to outmatched opponents, the quarterback situation, and second half defensive play, and hone in on a seasonal Oregon topic: this year’s uniforms.
In honor of this upcoming holiday weekend, we celebrate Our Beloved Ducks’ best “costumes” of the year (so far). Oregon has had their fair share of tough outings this year, but the uniforms have been inspired and unique.

My personal favorite came this past week in the “eggshell“ splattered black with forest green over a white primary, complemented by a sleek helmet combination as well. Usually more simple uniform designs with a little flair are what Oregon does best, especially the “Ohana” alternate from 2020.
Now, have our 2021 Ducks earned that flair this year, the uniform variety and innovation that helped put the Ducks on the map years ago? That remains to be seen with the rest of the season left to unfold, but one thing’s for certain: this unpredictable, mysterious 2021 roster will play the season out in style if this past weekend is any indication of what’s to come for the rest of the year’s uniform schedule.
What do you think of Oregon’s uniforms this year? Which ones from seasons past were your favorites? If you haven’t been thinking of the uniforms much, what do you expect this spooky Saturday against Colorado?

Still, he loves his Ducks and goes to local high school games all over the Los Angeles and Orange County area to check out new recruits of the future (and a SoFi game or two with the pros). On any given Saturday, expect to find him doing martial arts, playing the guitar, or screaming at the tv over a missed holding penalty.
