Oregon Ducks Football: Who Is Dorian Brew?

Alex Heining Editorials

After a long offseason of transfers, NFL exits, and the resurgence of talent overall on the Oregon Ducks’ football roster, we stand to gain some of the best players available at the high school level. Our newest cornerback Dorian Brew joins the Ducks as the latest 5-star on the roster. He has elite athleticism, fantastic ball skills, and is a more than willing tackler.

He currently sits at the no.15 spot on our all-time recruiting list and as the best defensive back to ever be recruited to the Ducks. Just slightly above Dontae Manning who he will likely be following in the footsteps of next year. Brew has the perfect opportunity to learn from some of the best DBs in the country and take their place, as Oregon welcomes Jabbar Muhammad from Washington to the roster as well. While players like Manning, Muhammad, and even Trikweze Bridges (who transferred in the offseason), have left/will have left the Ducks by the time Brew joins the roster, they set the standard for elite play to dominate in the Big-10 against top receivers.

We really need the help entering the BIG-10 to lockdown some of the best receivers in the country. We host Ohio State this year, which barring LSU or Alabama, has been “Wide Receiver U” for the better part of 10 years. The likes of Michael Thomas, Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Marvin Harrison Jr. have all made it to the NFL and been/are projected to be elite receivers. This bodes for a long road ahead in Oregon territory, despite having elite corners all over the roster. Fans and analysts alike will be closely watching the team’s performance, with many placing their bets on sportfogadó oldalak, expecting Brew to make an immediate impact as soon as he joins, and be a commanding presence on the defense.

For the Exciting 2024 Football Season….

We will be publishing between four and six articles per week during the football season, as we skip Saturdays with all the distraction of GameDay for us. Check through the week, and in particular check for Analysis articles on most Fridays.

The Our Beloved Ducks Forum (OBD) is where we we discuss the article above and many more topics, as it is so much easier in a message board format over there.  At the free OBD forum we will be posting Oregon Sports article links, the daily Press Releases from the Athletic Department and the news coming out every day.

Our 33 rules at the free OBD Forum can be summarized to this: 1) be polite and respectful, 2) do not tell anyone what to think, feel or write, and 3) no reference of any kind to politics. Easy-peasy!

OBD Forum members….we got your back.  No Trolls Allowed!
