IT Assistant Positions at FishDuck
If you want real experience putting to practice your knowledge of IT while being paid at $30.00 an hour, (or paid by the project) then consider an IT Specialist position at FishDuck over two terms or five months. You will be working with the site owner, Charles Fischer, on special projects involving PowerPoint, some graphics and some tech research on behalf of the site, as well as some projects with his investment advisory practice. These are fairly routine tasks for the average tech-intuitive student, and we would start the work hours when it fits the schedule of the IT Specialist. These will not be regular hours each week, but adjusted to the needs and the schedules of all parties.
Qualifications are simply an aptitude for working well with technology or intuitive enough to figure it out. Having your own car for travel is helpful and driving time is counted in the compensation.
The site was built by a student at Oregon, Mike Tomcal, who was the original IT Specialist helping the site at it’s inception and guiding it in the first year. Mr. FishDuck has worked with a couple of hundred UO students over the last seven years in IT, writing, editing, photography, HR, Social Media and management. The other positions are volunteer internships, while the IT is the only paid position on the site.
Contact Charles Fischer at charles@fishduck.com and give me a little background in your email. We would love older as well as young Oregon fans helping us….
