My friends… we have had great fun discussing our Beloved Ducks after the games over the last month in the comments below the articles. I thought I would start it early — for those who want to weigh in before the game, during the game, and after the game. Like before — this discussion will continue into Sunday and I will have my Opinion-Editorial article on Monday as usual.
In fact, we’ve averaged over 100 comments in these “game” discussions over the last four weeks. I was stunned at first, but now realize that so many of you are just like me; we want a “safe” place to post the thoughts we have and to discuss the major topics with other rational Duck fans. There are not many places left where you can post with no fear of being insulted or belittled for your opinion, but FishDuck.com will always be that sanctuary.
The reason is that I lose money on the site no matter what, (it has become a very expensive hobby for me) so I’m going to structure it to fit my sensibilities. I want a “TROLL-FREE” place to ponder the important points of the team like everyone else so, BAM. You got it this way for the long-term my friends.
In the past ten days or so — I’ve deleted six comments and blacklisted/banned a new fellow. He came out of the gate ignoring our rules and posted two insulting and demeaning comments. I did not need to see anymore, and even though he is an Oregon fan — he’s gone. I would rather have a few great fans writing comments than hundreds of trolls here.
So… let’s do it! There is no downside to commenting, so what our your thoughts?
