Let’s Meet the Writers and Editors!
Providing content for thousands of Oregon fans is a big job that takes over 60 people working on a part-time volunteer basis. Every day we have seven writers on average, writing, and four editors looking over the articles to see how they can help the writer improve and make certain we have good quality coming out on the site. Once in awhile something will get past the writer, editor, and Editor-in-Chief, but not often!

We have quite the organized schedules for the writers and editors and the training is ongoing with the rapid turnover that typically occurs in volunteer organizations. We have been proud of all the writers who have gone on to part-time and full time paying jobs in the field after their experience at FishDuck. At minimum–they are different people when they move on from FishDuck as they have improved their writing skills, their savvy as to how to construct an article, and their media technology skills that will help them for life.
Editors have a special place in my heart…because their skills are so very rare out in the world–and these are people who like to edit! We have a few who are superb writers as well, but the majority focus on editing and coaching the young-guns to better productions for the benefit of our readers. The site could not survive without them, and not only am I grateful for their skills, but I am thankful for the wonderful people that they are. The banter among us is fun, and it is just a nice group of people to be aligned with.
I have been very fortunate to have such high quality writers and editors come and join the site. Let’s meet them by clicking on their picture on the “About Us” page at the top of the site. From there you get a page of links to their work and at the bottom of each article is their biography.

Current articles of Analysis, Editorials, Coach’s Opinion, and Talent Evaluation will continue with new articles every week on Mondays and Wednesdays (and sometimes Fridays) at FishDuck as before.
